Speaking & Facilitation

Leading through the fog

Conversations that sharpen judgement and create movement.

Inspiration alone is not sufficient – disciplined action is what counts.

Keynotes and facilitated sessions for senior leaders navigating uncertainty and change, where the stakes are high and the answers aren’t obvious.

Why bring me in?

You don’t need motivation.
You need leaders thinking clearly – together.

Organisations invite me in when:

  • The stakes are high and the answers aren’t obvious.
  • Momentum has slowed despite effort and intent.
  • Leaders need to confront reality, not avoid it.
  • Honest conversation matters more than reassurance.

These are moments where clarity, judgement and action count.

What makes this different?

You choose the format:

  • Keynotes (30-60 minutes).
  • Facilitated leadership conversations.
  • Board and Executive off-sites.
  • Conference sessions for senior audiences.

I create the conditions for:

  • Clearer thinking
  • Candid conversation.
  • Better decisons.
  • Collective movement.

So leadership shows up when it matters.

Fog, fear and frcition: clarity and courage when conditions cannot wait.

Uncertainty comes in many forms – the challenge for leaders is crafting a route through the fog, fear and friction. The focus is on clarity, composure and courage. Audiences leave able to steady themselves and others, think clearly,
decide deliberately, and act decisively – even when certainty isn’t available.

Judgement under pressure: making sound decisons when the clock is ticking.

High-pressure environments expose bias, anxiety and flawed thinking. Sharpen your ability to weigh options and improve decision quality when time is short and certainty is absent. Sound judgment becomes the compass that balances risk, responsibility and consequence, guides action, and createsclear choices when others hesitate.

Evolutionary advantage: how leaders and organisations change as fast as change itself.

Your edge depends on your ability to learn faster than your competitors. Reframing change as an ongoing evolutionary process, leaders must boost their organisation’s metabolism by focusing on experimentation, variation and learning. You don’t need more ideas, you need a better system for change.

Alignment before acceleration: why shared identity determines whether strategy moves.

Speed without alignment amplifies confusion and risk. Learn how a clear sense of identity – who we are, what we stand for, and how we decide – creates coherence, alignment, and direction before momentum is applied. Leaders
leave better able to mobilise and energise their teams to unlock their full potential.

Why listen to me?

I have been decorated twice by the Queen for leadership in adversity; I bring experience earned where decisions matter.

Thirty years in the Royal Marines – retiring as a Major General – taught me what it means to lead under pressure, make decisions in uncertainty and bring people with you when the stakes are high.

I now bring that experience into business, government and international organisations – creating conversations that hold when it matters.

"The presentation will stay with me forever. It was clear, concise, delivered with compassion and inspired confidence - I went with trepidation and left reassured."

"One of the best leadership sessions I've attended - if not the best! The examples and tools were practical, relevant and immediately applicable. A powerful formula that genuinely shifts how leaders think and act."

"The team session was highly engaging and grounded in our context. We left with clearer alignment, a sharper decison-making process and the confidence to address issues we had previously avoided."

Act now

If the goal is movement we should talk.

Let’s design the right conversation together.
